5.COB LED Strip Light Installation Precautions

(1) COB LED strip light before installation:

1. 5V/12V/24V power supply needs to be strictly differentiated to avoid over-voltage burnout caused by mixing.

2.IP20 model: indoor dry environment only, avoid humid areas.

3.IP67/IP68 model: Check the integrity of the waterproof COB LED strip light before installation, and use waterproof adhesive to seal the joints.

4.High-power models of the COB LED strip light need to be installed in metal channels, aluminum substrates or well-ventilated locations to avoid overheating caused by confined spaces.

(2) Installation operation specification:

1.All models of COB LED strip light need to be cut at the designated cutting point under the knife, and prohibit arbitrary cut-off leading to damage to the group circuit.

2.Narrow PCB models (e.g. 5mm) use flexible adhesive backing or 3M tape to fix the COB LED strip light to avoid deformation of PCB caused by mechanical extrusion. Wide PCB models (e.g. 10mm) are installed with aluminum slots or clips to enhance heat dissipation and tensile strength.

3. After installing the COB LED strip light, use silicone to seal the cutouts and connectors at both ends, and pass the 24-hour water immersion test (IP68 only).
